Over 40 years ago, the family-owned trucking company, JAT of Fort Wayne, started with one truck. Since then, the company has grown into the successful, dependable business it is today. The fleet now includes over 100 semi tractors and a collection of over 450 dry vans, refrigerated, flatbed, and pneumatic trailers. JAT of Fort Wayne has evolved into a multi-faceted company with multiple divisions. We work as a cohesive unit to better serve our customers. JAT is a dependable company; we pride ourselves on the quality service we provide our customers. Located in Fort Wayne, Indiana, JAT has easy access to major Midwestern roadways and is within a day’s drive of two-thirds of the US Population base.

In the first six months of working at JAT transportation of Fort Wayne, I realized that there were going to be two things that would keep me here for the rest of my life and never consider going anywhere else. The first is that at 46 years old I’ve worked for multiple companies, and in multiple fields throughout my life but JAT is the only company that truly makes you feel like everybody here is equal. JAT is a family-run company and they do an amazing job making you feel like you’re not just a number because they know you by your name and they know what you like and you don’t like and it matters to them!

JAT is truly a family and driver-focused company. It is one thing for a company to say that but it is another to live it every day. At JAT we focus on being straightforward and open with our drivers about issues and listening to their concerns so that we can resolve issues and move forward so that the work that needs to be done, gets done. This promotes an environment where all employees know they are valued and listened to about issues. JAT values and employs a large number of Veterans. As of the beginning of 2021, JAT employed 115 drivers and in that group, there were 36 Veterans! We feel that hiring a Veteran is an easy decision because of how good of a worker most vets are. Veterans have so many characteristics that make an excellent driver. We look forward to talking to and trying to employ as many veterans as possible.
