company profile
As the largest open access shelter in northeast Indiana, we provide full-service law enforcement as a public safety department serving people and animals within the City of Fort Wayne and New Haven. We also provide sheltering services through a mutual agreement with Allen County, IN. We take in about 10,000 animals a year. Our goal is to ensure every healthy, treatable, and behaviorally sound animal has the chance for their forever home. We have a robust foster, adoption, and volunteer program that are crucial to us being able to provide live outcomes for animals in our care. We provide various educational opportunities for kids and teens including day camps, community service, tours, and programs. We pride ourselves on having a great working relationship with several departments including but not limited to the FW Police & Fire departments, Adult Protective Services, Allen County Prosecutor's Office, Neighborhood Code, and of course other animal rescues/shelters.
